Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: March 22, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your conduct on the PayToCommit platform operated by PayToCommit LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The purpose of this policy is to maintain the fairness, integrity, and safety of the challenge system for all participants. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in stake forfeiture, account suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform.
1. Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are strictly prohibited on the PayToCommit platform. This list is illustrative but not exhaustive; we reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether conduct violates the spirit of fair play.
1.1 Verification Fraud
- Submitting fraudulent verification photos, including but not limited to: digitally altered or photoshopped images, photos of a screen displaying a scale reading, photos taken from the internet, or photos of someone else’s scale reading
- Manipulating scale readings by placing items under or on the scale, applying pressure with hands or objects, or using any other technique to produce an inaccurate weight reading
- Wearing heavy clothing, shoes, or accessories during weigh-in photos with the intent of artificially inflating your starting weight or deflating your ending weight
- Submitting photos with incorrect or falsified dates, including photos taken outside the verification window or photos with manipulated EXIF metadata
- Using someone else’s identity for verification, including submitting photos of another person standing on a scale or using another person’s weigh-in results as your own
1.2 Account Abuse
- Creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage, circumvent a suspension, exploit promotions, or manipulate challenge outcomes
- Colluding with other participants to coordinate fraudulent verifications, share accounts, or otherwise undermine challenge integrity
- Attempting to reverse or initiate chargebacks on legitimate stake payments processed through Stripe after you have voluntarily committed funds to a challenge
1.3 Safety Violations
- Using the platform while pregnant. Pregnancy is a safety exclusion. Weight-loss challenges during pregnancy may pose risks to maternal and fetal health. If you become pregnant during an active challenge, you must notify us immediately at goals@paytocommit.com
- Participating while under 20 years of age. The Platform is restricted to individuals aged 20 and older. Misrepresenting your age to gain access is a violation of this policy and our Terms of Service.
1.4 Community Conduct
- Harassing other participants through any communication channel associated with the Platform, including but not limited to threats, intimidation, body-shaming, hate speech, or targeted personal attacks
- Interfering with platform operations, including attempts to exploit software vulnerabilities, disrupt service availability, or access other users’ accounts or data without authorization
2. Consequences of Violations
PayToCommit takes violations of this AUP seriously. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, we may take one or more of the following actions at our sole discretion:
- Immediate stake forfeiture. Your committed financial stake for the affected challenge will be forfeited in full. No refund will be issued for stakes forfeited due to policy violations.
- Account suspension. Your access to the Platform may be temporarily suspended pending investigation.
- Permanent ban. Your account may be permanently terminated, and you may be prohibited from creating new accounts or participating in future challenges.
- Exclusion from future challenges. Even if your account is not terminated, you may be barred from joining new challenges for a specified period or indefinitely.
- Reporting to payment processors. If you initiate fraudulent chargebacks against legitimate stake payments, we reserve the right to report the activity to Stripe and relevant financial institutions for investigation of chargeback fraud.
We may apply one or more of the above consequences simultaneously. Repeat offenders will face escalated enforcement. PayToCommit reserves the right to take any action it deems necessary to protect the integrity of the platform and its participants.
3. Verification Integrity
PayToCommit employs an AI-powered verification system (internally referred to as “Galactus”) to review all participant submissions. This system is a core component of maintaining challenge fairness.
- Multi-factor fraud detection. The AI verification system analyzes multiple indicators when reviewing submissions, including image authenticity, metadata consistency, scale reading clarity, and pattern recognition across your submission history.
- Human review escalation. Submissions that receive a low confidence score from the AI system are automatically escalated to human reviewers for manual evaluation. This ensures that ambiguous cases are handled with additional scrutiny.
- Final verification decisions. All verification decisions — whether made by AI or human reviewers — are considered final unless you file a formal dispute within the allotted timeframe (see Section 4 below).
4. Dispute Process
If you believe a verification decision was made in error, you may file a formal dispute by following the process below:
- Submit your dispute within 48 hours. Email goals@paytocommit.com within 48 hours of the verification decision you wish to contest. Disputes submitted after this window will not be considered.
- Include required information. Your dispute email must include: your full name, the email address associated with your PayToCommit account, your membership ID, the date of the verification in question, and a clear explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect. Supporting evidence (e.g., unedited original photos with intact metadata) is strongly encouraged.
- Review timeline. Disputes are reviewed within 5 business days of receipt. We may request additional information during the review process. You will be notified of the outcome via email.
- Final decision. The Platform’s decision after the dispute review is final and binding. No further appeals will be considered for the same verification event.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of another participant violating this Acceptable Use Policy — including suspected fraud, harassment, or safety violations — please report the behavior to us immediately. Reports help us maintain the integrity and fairness of the platform for all participants.
To submit a report, email goals@paytocommit.com with the subject line “AUP Violation Report.” Include as much detail as possible, including any relevant screenshots, dates, and descriptions of the behavior. All reports are reviewed confidentially.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to address new forms of misuse, improve clarity, or reflect changes to the Platform’s features and verification systems. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
